Silk Road Dushpera: Uzbek Dumpling Soup with Chef Liat

Silk Road Dushpera: Uzbek Dumpling Soup (Hands-On Class)
Travel the Silk Road through the flavors of Uzbekistan with a traditionally made dumpling soup that’s both comforting and unforgettable. In this hands-on class, you’ll learn how to mix and roll a simple dumpling dough, fill and shape Dushpera, and build a rich, savory broth the traditional way, finished with chickpeas, tomatoes, and sour cherries for a bold sweet-tart balance. We’ll also make Lepyoshka, the classic Uzbek flatbread, to serve alongside.
Traditional music, hands-on cooking, and the stories behind each dish, like traveling the Silk Road through food.
Menu (you’ll make):
● Traditionally Made Dushpera Dumplings (hand-rolled dough; beef filling or vegetarian
sweet potato option)
● Silk Road Broth (chickpeas, tomatoes, Cilantro, spices, sour cherries)
● Uzbek Lepyoshka Flatbread (brushed with olive oil)
● Fresh Herb & Tomato Salad (crisp, bright, and simple)
● Traditional green tea service with dates and nuts
