Heart Health Month Presentation (Demonstration Class)

Italian Entertaining: Food as Medicine
Presented by:
Dr. Kuczmanski, MD, ABEM, ABLM

In honor of Heart Health Month, Dr. Kuczmanski explores how traditional Italian flavors can support cardiovascular health when prepared with a plant-forward, whole-foods approach. This engaging culinary presentation highlights how food can be both celebratory and therapeutic, emphasizing healthy fats, fiber-rich ingredients, and antioxidant-packed produce—without sacrificing taste.

Featured Heart-Healthy Menu
  • Roasted Pistachio Tomato Soup
Rich in lycopene and healthy fats, supporting vascular health and reducing inflammation.
  • Arugula & Pine Nut Salad
A peppery green packed with nitrates for blood flow, paired with heart-healthy nuts and a light vinaigrette.
  • Tofu Bolognese
A plant-based twist on a classic Italian favorite, high in protein and fiber, and low in saturated fat.
  • Roasted Pears
Naturally sweet, fiber-rich dessert featuring fruit-forward flavor without added sugars.
Throughout the presentation, Dr. Kuczmanski discusses:
  • How Mediterranean-style eating supports heart health
  • Smart substitutions for traditional Italian dishes
  • Practical strategies for entertaining that align with longevity and wellness
This menu demonstrates that heart-healthy eating can be elegant, satisfying, and perfect for sharing.
